Shadows started
out as the final project in an art film class. Although
the assignment only required a simple video be recorded
to supplement the previously created sound track, assigned
earlier, it was an opportunity to create a sequel to the
short film Winter Ronin.
As a side story
to Winter Ronin: Shadows was a testbed for special effects.
The "Flaming Sword" featured in the film is
based the lightsaber effected featured in DarkSaber.
Although a sequel
to Winter Ronin, Shadows is not part of the continuing
storyline of its main character Jim. It is purely a side
story and future Winter Ronin projects may or may not
reference its plot.
